If you want to get free traffic to your website, SEO is the best way to get that traffic. However, finding great SEO keywords can be confusing. Many places also advise to buy expensive tools.

Well, today I am showing you how to do SEO keyword research for free, without using any tools. This method will show you how to find good keywords for your blog, for your website, by just using free tools such as Google Keyword Planner and Google Auto-Suggest.

We will also go through and find out how to choose keywords from a big list of “potential keywords” that actually have a great chance of ranking on Page 1 of Google, even on a weak / new website.

Step 1 of the process is to generate keyword lists. In today’s video, I will show you 4 different ways to generate lots of “hidden” keywords, which noone else knows about. You see, most people use Keyword Tools which always produce the same sets of keywords, so everyone ends up competing for the same keywords.

Well, in this video, I will show you how to use your brain and Google to find great keywords, which noone else is using.

Step 2 of the process is to go through SEO keyword analysis process to remove low-potential keywords. Using my approach, I’ve been able to get huge amounts of organic traffic, and I hope that you will be able to do the same, using today’s video.

The SEO Checklist – How to Fix All of Your SEO Errors



Did you know that there’s over 200 factors in Google’s algorithm? So how do you optimize your website for all these 200 factors? How do you fix all your errors? That sounds overwhelming. That sounds like a lot of work. There must be an easier way, right? Well, there is. Today I’m going to break down the SEO checklist, how to fix all your SEO errors.

I want you to go to neilpatel.com/seo-analyzer and you can see the URL here. Or if you’re on the Neil Patel website, you can go to Tools and just click on SEO Analyzer. Or if you’re on the homepage, at the very bottom there’s a navigation called Tools. And again, click on SEO Analyzer.

And what this is, this is a simple free tool and it’s a free report. It’ll break down all the errors that you need to fix to be compliant with Google. So you don’t actually have to manually create a checklist and go through them.

This tool already has that checklist built in. So for this case, I’m going to put in my own website neilpatel.com and then click Analyze Website. And it takes some time to load. I’ve put in my website many, many times. So it’s kind of cached.

Also, as you fix your SEO errors then you want to click Recrawl and it checks your website all over again for those 200 factors. So once you put in your website and it loads and depending on how large your website is it can finish within a minute or two or it may end up taking up to 30 minutes if you have extremely large website with thousands of pages and you just want to give it time and let it go through your whole website to see how compliant you are with those 200 checkpoints or more so checklist items that Google has when it comes to their ranking factors.

So as you can see here, it gives an overview of my website. My on-page SEO score, my monthly Google traffic, organic keywords, my backlinks, critical errors, warnings, recommendations and it even breaks on things like site speed cause that’s important.

If you’re in green, you’re good to go. If you’re not in green, you’ll see either a yellow or orange or red check box here. And you just hover over the question mark and it’ll tell you what it is and how to fix it. And again, you can see all the SEO issues.

So I want you to scroll back up and then first start with the critical errors if you have any, if you don’t, go to Warnings. What is it and how to fix it? And I’ll say, “Without enough text on a page, Google will have trouble understanding what the content is about. If Google doesn’t know what the content is about, it won’t be able to rank your content for the search terms you are targeting.

But as I mentioned, some pages shouldn’t have a lot of words. Some pages should. My training page, I can probably add way more words to it. Contact page in German, not so much.

So I want you to go through each SEO issue. And once you fix them, click back to SEO Issues and you’ll see, you know, all your errors where you can focus on the critical ones first.

And I have 17 pages with duplicate meta-descriptions. I probably should use Rel=canonical or block them off from Google, more so use Rel=canonical and that’ll solve that problem. So as you can see, I have a lot of work to do here with fixing my meta-descriptions and making sure there’s no duplicate. Same with title, right?

And once you do this with all your errors, your critical and your warnings, fix the ones that make sense. Sometimes not all of them make sense. And when you do that and you fix them, then you’ll want to go back to SEO Report.

And then this click Recrawl website. That’s it. If you do that, you’ll get your on-page SEO score closer to 100. The general rule of thumb, anything 90 and above is amazing. Anything 80 and above is not too bad. Anything below that, you should work on continually improving. And you need to keep doing this.

And I recommend at least once a month. And the reason being is as you publish new content, you keep changing your website. As your business grows, you add more employees, you continually release new SEO errors.

So we’re continually adapting this SEO analyzer, every time Google’s making big algorithm updates. So then that way, you have a fresh updated list of things that you need to fix.

And this is the easiest way to do your SEO checklist, because instead of keeping track of each element, as Google adopts, this tool adapts with it as well.

So all you want to continually do is just rerun your website and just make sure you’re up to date.

SEO For Beginners – The Easiest Way to Generate Traffic



As a beginner, there must be a simpler way to start generating SEO traffic without having to learn all this on-page code and build links. Today, I’m going to break down the easiest way to get more SEO traffic.

As SEO, eventually you will have to learn on-page SEO and you’ll also have to learn about link building. But when you’re just starting off, the key that you need to remember is content is king. When you have content on your website, you’re going to get more traffic. When you don’t have content on your website, you’re going to get less traffic. Google uses that content to put your website out there.

So when people type in phrases around anything related to your website, your content has a higher probability of showing up. So if you’re a beginner, the easiest way to generate traffic is to start writing content, but not any content, you have to actually write the right kind of content and I’m going to show you how to do that.

First off, I want you to go to neilpatel.com/ubersuggest. And I want you to type in a keyword related to the content you want to write. If you don’t know what keyword report to the content that you want to write, just put it in a keyword related to your industry.

The overview will show me how many people are typing in that keyword within my region, my region being the United States, on a monthly basis. I can see roughly how popular that keyword is. And then I can scroll all the way down to the content ideas. And then I can click view all content ideas. This will show me all the blog post ideas related to the term digital marketing that people are writing on.

And as you can see here, some of them aren’t that great or relevant. Some of them are good. And you just scroll down until you find something that you’re like, all right, I would write on this. So then you click the keywords dropdown and you’ll start seeing keywords, this has given me some keyword ideas on some keywords that I can use.

What I want you to do is go to the keyword ideas report now in the left-hand navigation and you see the term digital marketing that I just typed in. And if that’s one of the phrases, cool. What you’ll want to do is you’ll want to select it and then you want to click add to list.

And you probably don’t have anything here so you’ll want to label your list and then I’ll click a new label. So let’s do digital marketing blog post. All right, I got a label. Add keyword. And this will also give me other terms related to digital marketing. Digital marketing companies probably use a lot.

And then I can just keep going and I’ll keep going down and down and down and then I’ll go to the next page and keep doing this. And as you do this, you want to add those keywords to the list. So I would add it to my digital marketing blog posts list because that’s a blog post I’m writing.

If I go to keyword list and then I click on digital marketing blog posts and I can keep adding more to it, I now have a list of keywords that can potentially be included in the blog post that I ‘ m writing on when it comes to digital marketing or a guide to digital marketing, how to learn it and I can all these terms in there.

Now, granted you won’t automatically rank for all these keywords, but you will rank for a portion of them. And the more you include, the higher probability that you’ll have to rank for at least some of them. And if you’re including keywords that are related to your content and you go top down, what I mean by top down, we’ll go back to the keyword ideas report, when you’re selecting keywords towards the top and then you keep going down, the ones at the top tend to be more popular.

When you also select ones that have a low SEO difficulty score that are in green, those are ones that are easier to rank for. So if you select popular keywords that are easy to rank for, you have a higher probability of ranking for those terms.

And the key here is to create a list for every blog post that you’re trying to create. And don’t keep including the same keywords over and over again. What I mean by that is you don’t want to have 10 posts related to online marketing tools. So you want to keep using new keywords per post.

So you want to do this exercise each and every time you write a blog post. So that way, you’re targeting new keywords that will help you generate traffic. That’s all you have to do to start getting more traffic when you’re creating content, especially if you’re looking for SEO traffic.

The Painful Truth About SEO



SEO used to be simple, you write an article on a topic and over time you get rankings, you get some traffic. Even if you’re not on page one, it wasn’t that competitive, and you get results. But now with over a billion blogs on the internet, SEO has become super competitive. Just think about that. That’s roughly one blog for every seven people. And the way you get traffic, and the method you use to get those rankings has changed. Today I’m going to break down the painful truth about SEO, and how you can succeed in today’s market.

So how do you get traffic in today’s world? Well, it really is all about the long tail. And I want to show you the Neil Patel blog, so you can see, for example. How to read your website source code, and why it’s important. The keyword here, I’m going after not just website source code, I’m going after reading your website source code.

So let’s type in, how to read website source code. And as you can see here, if you look at the searches, not a ton of searches it’ll load soon enough and you’ll be able to see. But it’s something better than nothing, 10. And then when you look at a term like source code, website source code, you got 480 searches. And if you go after, website code maybe there’ll be a little bit better. You have 8,000 searches.

And the list goes on and on, and if you keep scrolling on the Neil Patel blog, you’ll see this the eight most important conversion rate metrics you should be tracking. 25 marketing books, you should be reading this. One’s a little bit more generic marketing books. You know how to leverage testimonials in paid campaigns. And I’m just showing you how to use testimonials not just in general, but in your paid advertising campaigns. And Google ad-words certified, right or certification, Instagram story highlights on a brand account.

I’m getting very specific with my content. And let’s take this one as an example of Instagram story highlights. So here I’m on Ubersuggest, you can just go to Neil Patel. I’ll actually go neilpatel.com/ubersuggest. And let’s type in the keyword, Instagram story the highlights, Instagram story highlights. And I’m searching in English United States, 3,600 searches per month.

And what I want you to do is start looking for longer tail keywords. So for example, if I have something on, let’s dive a little bit deeper Photoshop, right As you can see here, this article is on Photoshop classes.

And let’s go back to Ubersuggest, and let’s type in photo shop classes Instead of just optimizing for head terms, IEX Photoshop classes. I want you to look for a long tail terms, Photoshop classes online, Photoshop classes near me, Photoshop classes online for free, Photoshop classes for beginners. And there’s other related, you know terms as well.

But as you can see here, I’m going for long tail terms. So what I want you to do as an Ubersuggest is typing keywords that you may be going after. If I type in Photoshop, because a lot of micro marketers needed deal with design tools and editing images for blog posts or social media. You can see that is Photoshop free Photoshop online, download Photoshop, Photoshop remove background, Photoshop elements.

I would start writing articles on all these detailed terms like, how to resize images in Photoshop, how to remove your background using Photoshop. By doing this you’ll generate more traffic, by optimizing for all the long tail terms. And it may not be something that is appealing and is what you want to do.

But that’s how you succeed in the world of SEO today, in which you need a right a lot of traffic, or content around these long tail terms. If you want tons and tons of traffic. And by doing it I’ll show you what ends up happening to your traffic.

And title tags are one of those little things that really adds up, and I’m going to show you how to tweak them to get the most amount of traffic. And then I’m going to show you 10 tweaks that you can make with your title tag to really boost your SEO traffic.

Google’s using user metrics. It’s not just about how many backlinks you have or how good your site code is. If your copy is more appealing people are going to click read through and then go to your website.

So how do you get more clicks at scale? Because you may not have the Twitter following that I do or some of the other people do, but there still must be ways. And I’m actually going to break down 10 ways you can get more clicks through your title tags and modify them without having big Twitter followers, and telling people, hey, go click on my results.

This formula that I’m going to give you is a longterm solution to get those clicks. So that way you can rank higher without building more links or optimizing your code. So let me break down 10 hacks for you.

The first title change that you can make is start making your title tags questions.

Now I wouldn’t recommend doing 15 word title tags because that’s not enough room to put in keywords. But you can do 30, 40 characters. Once you start going 50, 60 characters we actually see less click through rate even though you can put in more keywords.

We also see a 45% increase in click through rate when they exact query is in the URL.

Power words are like effortless, simple, gorgeous, anything that just describes what you’re trying to get across. And the more power words that you use or adjectives, the better off you’re going to be.

You also can see a 17.3% higher click-through rate for titles that contained emotions versus ones that did not contain emotions. So the more emotion that you can convey the better off you’re going to do.

And here’s one of my favorite ones, a 5.8% higher CTR. If you have a meta-description. This is one of my favorite ones because it’s super simple. A lot of people don’t add meta descriptions to their page. Believe it or not, I know that sounds crazy but it’s true.

And titles with years tend to generate a 4.9% higher click through rate. For example if I have an article that is how to start a blog. If I put how to start a blog in 2025, assuming the years 2025, then it can generate more clicks versus if the year’s not there.

And evoking curiosity can increase your click through rate by roughly 5.9%.

Titles that resemble education have 10.4% more clicks. Although that’s probably not that educational or like how to rank number one on Google. How to install a toilet. Those are all examples of educational, informational articles.

And my last tip for you is look at the people who are running ads and look at their copy. Because those people have to optimize for quality score.

Google wants them to have high clicks because Google makes money on a cost per click. So if their titles suck, they don’t get tons of clicks which doesn’t make Google as much money.

So learn from them because that ad copy can help you generate better titles. And once you make these changes you have to give it roughly 30 days before you really start seeing results. So you have to be patient.

Not only help with how fast you rank in Google but also it will allow you to make better decisions when targeting keywords for ranking.

So the two main SEO tips in this video have to do with simply looking at the SERP and not only tools that you might be using. I urge you whenever doing keyword research or perhaps looking to see who is currently winning in the SERPs.

Not only looking at a competitor ranking in a SEO tool but also look at the search engine results pages to see what types of pages are currently winning and along with diving deeper into the pages and seeing what type of pages they are.

Aside from the listed tip above I urge you to look and see what Google is showing the search results for a particular keyword or a keyword phrase to see if Google feels it is the same keyword.

With on-page SEO, there are two main things we need to cover.

The first is to ensure that your page satisfies search intent.

You’ve already learnt the 3 Cs’ of search intent. But what do you need to write about in order to satisfy searchers? The answer is to learn from your competitors’ pages.

The top-ranking pages are ranking at the top for a reason. Google and other search engines deem them as the best candidates to satisfy a searcher’s query. So they’re clearly doing something right, at least from the perspective of a search engine.

You’ll learn how to research your competitors’ content in the video.

Once you’re armed with information, you can begin with your “technical” on-page optimizations. These will be:

► Target keyword in the title
► Short and descriptive URL slug
► Meta description
► Add internal links
► Optimize and compress your images

Here's How You Assess and Improve a Website's SEO – Neil Patel's Website SEO Breakdown Session



Typically when we’re evaluating these metrics we score them from zero to 10. 10 is better. You could have a five in some categories or two or a one or a nine or even a 10. And the goal is to try to get to 10 in each and every single category. But as you’re doing SEO with your own website what you may realize is it’s hard to get to 10 everywhere. And it’s hard to fix everything at once. So, I’m also going to give you guys feedback on stuff, no matter if your website was selected or not that’ll just help you guys succeed.

So first I want to break down the concepts behind the website breakdown. So you can also break down your website as well. We put them into five main buckets; Content, search intent, that’s things like your content length, internal linking.

Your off page, like, are you using, you know, natural links? Do you have toxic links? Do you have a lot of backlinks or very little? On page; are you using things like schema markup, good code like h1 headings and all that stuff, all tags. Technical stuff, like site speed, SSL, robots, crawlability.

And then you have mobile, is your just site mobile friendly? Does it load fast? Are you using advanced mobile pages? Stuff like that.

Start with the stuff that has the lowest scores that’s not doing as well. And then eventually try to get that up higher and higher. So let’s first start off with the Content Breakdown. 93% of online experiences, start with a search.

If you don’t understand what people are searching for, you may end up getting search traffic but will that search traffic even convert to revenue? Probably not.

And you also want to make your customers enter your product funnel as quick as possible so that there is no issues because the last thing you wanted it to take weeks if not months for them to buy. It’s just no one has the time for that.

So going after keywords that are small is fine but you want to go after big and small keywords, not just small they are going after bigger keywords as well.

We find that the bigger images rank better and get more traffic. You also want to compress the file size and you also want to have a unique name.

Keywords must appear on the title. 80% of the people read the title and they say only 2 out of 10 or 20% will click through and read the rest of the article. We prefer the keyword to be the first word in the title.

We want the keyword appear in the first paragraph. That’s helped us a lot. We want keywords are related keywords. That must appear within at least 40% of the headers.

Internal subtitles should be formatted in h2, and we don’t use h1’s for that. We use h3 if needed if they’re subheading underneath the h2.

The main keyword that we are going after. We try to have it in the text at least a handful of times, hence the word five or handful.

Keyword must be in the meta-description and you want to use that, not just to have keywords but also to get clicks when people are searching and you want to keep your URL short and to the point.

Short URLs rank better, ideally a few words only in the URL.

All headers should be bolded. And for every thousand words, just a general rule of thumb is we try to do internal linking five to 15 times.

And you want to ensure the links opening new windows. Sometimes I make a mistake on that but that’s what people prefer.

Your text should have at least five internal links if possible two in the conclusion, if you’re struggling to fit them in.

If you’re going to do one thing in the summit just take any one of the tactics you learned, whether it’s from me or the other speakers and just implement one thing in your business, you won’t go wrong.

And if you just do that once a month for a year you’ll be shocked on the results that you’ll achieve in a good way.

Now, it’s obvious you’re already starting to rank high on page one, you’re getting more traffic and you’re getting more sales, but there’s this weird honeymoon period when you’re doing SEO, the first two, three months, sometimes even six months, you’re not getting the results you want, and you’re putting all this time, effort and money into SEO, and the question is, “Should you continually be spending that money? Is it really worth it?” And there’s a specific way you can see if SEO is working for you.

So first off, I want you to head to Ubersuggest neilpatel.com/ubersuggest, you can type in your domain name, like I’m typing in neilpatel here, and you’ll see Ubersuggest load.

Now, if you have a brand new site, you may not see a graph like this. If you do see a graph, your ideal goal is for it to be going up and to the right. That’s the first leading indicator that SEO is working for you. If it’s flat, doesn’t mean all hope is lost. If it’s going down, again doesn’t mean all hope is lost. There’s ways to reverse that, but more so you want to figure out if SEO is working for you and the he easiest way is to first see if the graph is going up and to the right.

The second thing that you can end up doing to see if SEO is working for you is I want you to click on the dashboard link on the left side of Ubersuggest. If it requests you to log in, make sure you go and log in, and I want you to click on new project or create a project. You put it in a URL. So I’m going to end up putting in one of my company websites, Np Digital, and then click next, type in the cities that you’re going after. For me, I’m going after United States, and click next.

The next thing you’re going to want to do is put in your keywords. So, as you can see here, it’ll give you a list of recommended keywords. If you’re a brand new website, you may not have that. So, I’m going to type in keywords like SEO, that I may be targeting. I’m going to type in keywords like marketing, SEO company, and then the next thing I’m going to do on the next page is going to say track my competitors. Some of these may be your competitors, some of them may not. It’s pulling based on common keywords.

Now this project is brand new, so let me go over to the Neil Patel project. All you have to do is on your dashboard, click see more, under tracked keywords, and you can see your rankings over time. You may see a gray box like this, if you’re doing just, if you just started, because you won’t have too many results when it comes to rank tracking.

If you have been doing it for awhile you can change your date range, like I do last month, and you can see Marketplace Facebook, and the keyword I may be tracking is LinkedIn, and you can see if it’s going up or down over time. That’ll give you a good idea if SEO is working for you. And you can continually add keywords, like I can add the keyword, SEO company.

I can add another keyword like SEO, and then I just click start tracking my rankings, and it’ll take a bit, because Ubersuggest says has to crawl, but as Ubersuggest crawls, you’ll end up being able to quickly see, all right, what am I rankings? And as you can see is pretty quickly here, right? SEO, that’s my rankings for it. SEO company.

Even though your traffic’s not going up, if your rankings are going up, that’s a good leading indicator that SEO is working for you. So that’s how I judge if SEO is working. Once you’re getting the traffic, then I look at conversion rates, but for now I recommend creating a project in Ubersuggest, tracking the main keywords that you’re going after, so that way you can see leading indicators of SEO is working for you.

Keep in mind, if you’re not raking in the top hundred, you’ll just see a little dash, a little line like that.

If you’re ranking in the top hundred, you’ll see a number, and the more greens you see over time, the better off, and I recommend you daily rank tracking because, as I mentioned, Google does on average over eight algorithm changes per day, even though most of them are small. It’ll give you a better understanding of what is happening.

How to Get More SEO Traffic Even When You Can't Rank #1



Ranking number one on Google is tough. Wouldn’t it be great if you could get more traffic than your competition from SEO even if you ranked lower than them? Today I’m going to teach you how to get more traffic than your competition when you rank lower than them.

So first off, I want you to go to Google and I want you to type in something simple, just type in Ubersuggest Chrome extension. And just install it. So then, whenever you do a Google search you’ll see the Chrome extension. It’ll tell you how many searches a keyword gets, the cost per click. You can click here, view all. You can see trends on that keyword, age range, all that kind of good stuff, and keywords on the side.

One of the key aspects for SEO is keywords. The more keywords you’re targeting, assuming they’re relevant and good keywords, the more traffic in general you can get from SEO.

But here’s the thing, it’s really hard to rank number one, no matter how good you are at SEO for every single keyword out there. It’s unrealistic. I’ll never rank number one for all the keywords I’m trying to go after. And no one else will either. And what you’ll find is people who rank number one don’t always get the most traffic.

So if you look at this Ubersuggest extension, under each organic URL, you’ll see their domain authority. You’ll see their estimated visits that the page gets from SEO. How many social shares from Facebook or Pinterest, some only have Facebook shares or Pinterest or neither, and how many backlinks a URL has. And you can click the dropdown and it’ll pull up things like the backlinks. And you can even click the down arrow on estimated visits and you can see the estimated visits for that page. And it’ll show you the keywords that are driving those visits.

But the point I’m trying to make is even if you don’t rank number one, you can use the extension to export the keywords. And it’ll take you to Ubersuggest app where you can export there. And you can export the results for any term, like the marketing one, right? I can just export it. Go here, click View all. And same thing. I can end up exporting it to CSV and you can get the full list.

But the point I’m trying to make is I want you to do this for any terms that you could be ranking on that you may not be ranking number one.

And what I want you to do is look at the people above you and start looking at the keywords they rank for and just keep clicking Next, Next, Next. And you’ll see all the popular key words, their position, and that’ll give you ideas of keywords that you should include in your article.

So if you look at this, SEO with Google, Google SEO. And then if I look at mine, all right? Let’s see if I rank for anything related to Google SEO. I don’t rank anything for Google SEO and that term gets good traffic. So I should include that in my article which can boost my overall traffic. Even if I don’t rank number one for that term, it’s another term that I could end up ranking for on this page.

And that’s how you get a lot of keyword ideas and generate more traffic than your competition even if you rank lower than them because what you’ll want to do is look at all the keywords that other players rank for that are getting a lot of visits and you can see it by just clicking the down arrow and you’ll want to skip the ones that don’t get much traffic.

So this one’s getting 3000 visits. So I probably won’t look at that. WordStream 33,000. I’m at 50,000. Oh no, that’s WordStream. Again, is that 50,000. I’m at 37.

So even though I rank higher than WordStream and they’re more lower on the page, they’re raking for other terms that I’m not ranking for, like SEO optimizing, SEO optimizations, that I should start including within my content so I can rank higher.

And then what you’ll want to do is just include the ones that are relevant, rewrite your copy, update it. And over time, you’ll start ranking for more terms and getting more traffic.

I hope that helps you get more search traffic than your competition even when you’re ranking lower than them.

The Dumbest SEO Hack (That Works)



Wouldn’t it be great if there was a dead simple SEO hack that would just help boost your rankings, but didn’t require that much work. You don’t have to be that technical. You don’t have to build links. You don’t have to worry about keywords and yet you can just increase your rankings, well there is. Today I’m going to break down the dumbest SEO hack.

When I talk about the dumbest SEO hack, I don’t mean it in a negative way. I say it’s dumb because it’s really dead simple. It’s really obvious, very few people do it and it just works. So this is the neilpatel.com blog, as you can tell by the URL up top, neilpatel.com/blog and I’m just going to go into one of my blog posts.

And as you scroll, and if you don’t have a blog you should consider adding one. You know, you see a normal blog post. You see comments at the very bottom as I scroll and then, you know, more people can leave comments if they want, through the comment box and you just see a footer navigation, but there’s something simple I did that just has really helped me boost my rankings.

What’s one thing that I did that just really helped me boost my rankings? What do you think it is? It’s actually this section here where it says guides. Okay, let’s go through them. I have a guide on digital marketing, online marketing, Google ad-words, Facebook advertising, remarketing, SEO, content marketing, growth hacking, social media marketing, affiliate marketing, conversion optimization, marketing automation.

Now let’s Google all of them in order. Digital marketing, so digital marketing. I rank somewhere at the top on page one. All right, what’s the next one? So one for one, online marketing. Online marketing the key word. All right, I’m somewhere at the top as well, there you go. Now let’s go to next one, Google ad words. Probably not at the top for that one because it’s a Google branded term but I’m probably decently ranked.

Search and watch, WordStream I’m on page one, okay. And that one’s not bad, 550,000 searches, $8.46 cost per click. Next one Facebook advertising, Facebook advertising. Again, probably not number one because I’m not Facebook, but where am I at? On page one, cool, all right.

Let’s see, remarketing, that’s a one-word keyword, that one may be a little bit tougher. Google at the top, Google, Google, WordStream there I am, page one, towards the top. Next one, SEO, all right. I already know I’m on page one for this. All right, what’s the next one? Content marketing, content marketing, where am I? There you go, what’s the next one? And you could be like, oh, Neil’s not incognito.

Well, let me type in content marketing in the incognito browser, let’s see where I am. Copy, that’s at the bottom of page one, see, still page one. All right, and now let’s go back to the word blogging. I doubt I’m on page one for blogging. I’m on page one for blogging, growth hacking. Growth hacking, opt-in monster, opt-in monster number four.

What’s the next one? Social media marketing, social media marketing. The next one after that’s affiliate marketing. Social media marketing, buffer, sprout social word stream. Who’s sweet, Neil Patel. Let’s type in affiliate marketing, Neil Patel. That was the next one on the list.

Conversion optimization, then marketing optimization or marking automation, conversion optimization. Let’s see if I’m on page one. There you go, and then marketing, it’s marketing automation I believe yeah.

Now when you’re doing this, don’t just add in the link, add in whatever makes sense. Like with some of these, you know, online marketing, it could’ve put internet marketing or it could’ve put different variations, but my audience calls it online marketing.

So I put what’s relevant. I don’t put the word search engine optimization because everyone calls it SEO. I didn’t put Google ads even though that gets searched a lot.

I put ad words because most the people I know still call it ad words. So I don’t emphasize on the keyword, but by putting a lot of internal link juice, it helps with the ranking. So try that out, it’s really simple.

A Dead Simple SEO Strategy That'll Generate 1 Million Visitors



SEO is super competitive. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was just a strategy that worked, and that wasn’t as competitive, and didn’t take as long to get results? Today, I’m going to break down a super, dead simple SEO strategy that can get you a million visitors a month.

So the first thing I want you to do is head to Ubersuggest you go to ubersugggest.com or neilpatel.com/ubersuggest. And I want you to type in quora.com. You know Quora as that question and answer site. If you look here, this is Quora’s traffic, this is their SEO traffic.

Look, how many visitors they are getting, it’s just crazy, right? Now this is the estimation, but still they’re in the, well into the millions of visitors a month, if not hundreds of millions.

They’re ranked for literally millions and millions of keywords. And if you look, you can see a lot of the keywords are ranking for. You know, they ranked for 27.7 million keywords between the position 51 and a 100.

So what’s their strategy? Well, look at this. What are good ways to log out of Facebook? What is the correct, thank you, or thank you, or thanks you, or thank you? What is Delta S in chemistry, and what is the difference?

Quora’s on everything. So you’re not going to get as much traffic as them and that’s okay. But how do you find questions in your space? Well, I want you to type in keywords related to your space. Let’s say you’re in marketing.

Now you just type in the keyword marketing within Ubersuggest. And then I want you to click on questions. These are all the keywords that are popular in your space.

Some of these get searched a lot, some get searched a little. And a lot of them aren’t competitive, as you can see, here’s the SEO difficulty, how competitive it is to rank on Google? Green means easy.

I want to talk about Instagram because a lot of marketers want to leverage Instagram. So I would type in Instagram, into Ubersuggest, and again it’ll tell me all the keywords related to Instagram, and then I would click on questions again.

And this is assuming you’re on the keyword ideas report, right, that’s the key. And if you go to this, here for Instagram. All questions that you can end up breaking down and create article related to any of the questions that are within your space that have a low SEO difficulty, high volume and high CPC. High CPC usually means that traffic somewhat valuable.

Eventually you can cause it to convert. Even if that question article’s not, you know, selling anything, you can bring people to your website remarket them, or then drive them in a funnel, collect their email, promote through other stuff. And SEO difficulty. Again, as long as it’s easy, the volume’s decent, you should do it, and you can do it on anything.

And if you do this and then collect emails from those pages you can eventually sell your products and services from those articles. You can put up ad, you know, make money through ads, and have AdSense, or affiliate stuff, all ways to do really well.

But the key is, is you just got to go and create content around questions because the one thing that’s consistent is mostly keywords that are around questions are not competitive.

And by doing that, you’re going to end up generating revenue and getting traffic and ranking higher on Google with much less effort because terms aren’t that competitive.

Yeah, one page, isn’t going to drive you 20,000 visitors a month, but if you had a 100 pages that each drive you a 1000 visitors a month, that’s a 100,000 visitors a month.

That’s 1.2 million visitors a month.

That’s a lot of traffic.

How SEO Will Change in 2021



Google has over 3000 algorithm changes that they release each and every single year. That’s a lot of algorithm changes. You already know SEO changes so frequently because of the number of algorithm changes that Google releases. Now sure, most of them are small but these large ones can have a massive shift in your rankings. So how do you prepare for it in 2021? What else is going to change in 2021?

The first thing you need to get used to and this is the first trend is that your rankings are going to Seesaw. But if you do the right things and you continually put the user first and you’re doing all the right SEO stuff, typically, if you fast forward a year from that day, your rankings will be up. Your traffic should be up as well, but you need to get used to them seesawing and be okay with that. That is going to be the new normal.

Trend number two, positioning will be more important than ever and that first spot is going to be the Holy Grail in which that’s what you need to shoot for and aim for. It’s going to be really hard to get there.

So you want to take that top spot because they’re putting in other stuff that decreases traffic. Now it doesn’t mean SEO is dead. There’s still more and more people coming online, more people using Google, more people searching, so you can still do well if you’re in position two or three or even on page one. But number one has a massive, huge difference from being on number two or number three or number four even if it’s still on page one.

Trend number three, user experience is now SEO. So if you want to do really well, you need to optimize for mobile. And I’m not just talking about paid speed or your links or can people read your site on mobile or is it loading fast? I’m talking about the overall experience. If you don’t optimize for experience, you’re going to lose in the long run.

Trend number four, the riches are going to be in the niches more than ever, especially with SEO. And here’s why. You need to focus on building niche sites. It’s not about building a Wikipedia type site. If you want to do that, that’s great but because there’s over a billion blogs and a ton of sites and a ton of competition, they want to rank authority sites more than ever and it typically, from what we’re seeing is people who focus on one niche tend to be better, well versed around that niche, not always the case, but in many cases. And they tend to be more of a quote unquote authority.

Trend number five, content length won’t matter as much. Get to the point with your content. So don’t obsess about word count or keyword density, obsess about the quality of your content and are you getting the user what they’re looking for as quick as possible.

Trend number six, you won’t have to build as many backings. So it’s better off just releasing your content, not building links and letting it happen organically. And then over time, sure do the manual outreach, but let your content sit there for three to four months before you even start that manual outreach.

Trend number seven, branding won’t be enough. You need to be a authority within your niche. So make sure you go and focus on being the end all, be all expert within whatever niche you’re in.

Now here’s a bonus trend for you. We’re seeing that businesses are going to have to start thinking about global SEO from day one. So from day one, you need to start thinking about global SEO as your strategy instead of just SEO within your region. And you’re going to have to look at things like translations and especially updating and repurposing your content in all of these regions as well.

Whether you’re writing for your own site or for a client, you should have 2 objectives for your content.

► The content should drive traffic to the site.
► The content should turn people into customers or push them further down the sales funnel.

With these objectives in mind, here’s a simple process to achieve both of these goals.

The first step is to write about topics people are searching for.

Most people like to write about topics that excite them. But these posts often have a short shelf life.

When you create content around topics that people are searching for, then you get the opposite effect: free, passive and consistent traffic that usually grows over time.

How do you do this? This video will show you how.

The second step is to assess the type of content Google wants you to create.

Google’s job is to deliver the most relevant results for any given search query. And they do a pretty good job at this.

So naturally, if you want to rank for your target topic, then you need to know the type of content Google will rank for that query.

This is called search intent. Watch the video to find out how to determine search intent from any query.

Step three is to create a data-driven outline.

Content is like a puzzle. There are a lot of different pieces and it’s tough to assemble without some kind of framework. Outlines are like the edge pieces of the puzzle. They help to form the base and all you need to do is fill in the missing pieces.

They also help make sure you’re including all critical points worth communicating on the topic.

This video will show you how to easily create a blog post outline.

Step four is to create a click-worthy headline.

A headline is important because it’s what stands between you and a visitor. Its main job is to convince people to actually click on your result. Then it’s your content’s job to keep them reading.

Watch the video to learn how to write good headlines.

Step five is to write a killer intro using the AIDA formula.

The introduction is arguably the most important part of your content. Its job is to hook your reader, tell them they’re in the right place, and convince them to keep reading.

Fortunately, there’s a tried and tested formula you can use called AIDA, which you can use.

What does it stand for and how do you use it? Watch the video.

Step six is to make your content actionable and easy to digest.

So your outline should act as a nice skeleton for your post. And to add meat to those bones, you need to do two things.

Keeping SEO and PPC separate is a mistake. You’re missing out on a ton of reliable data that can be used for SEO to gain the long-term benefits of free and passive search traffic from Google and YouTube.

The first use case is to find keywords that result in conversions.

Not every keyword you bid on or rank for is going to result in customers. But Google Ads has a conversion tracking feature that lets you attribute an action on your website to a keyword.

How do you use this feature to find keywords that convert well? You’ll learn how in the video.

The next use case is to find keyword opportunities and pages that can benefit from on-page optimizations.

What is SEO? SEO is a process of optimizing any given search word or term for a search engine on your site. So what is local SEO?

Ratings are very important. The moment people have four and a half stars or more, they tend to do well. Anything less than that, they don’t do as well, and then beneath that is you see organic results as well.

So let’s go over local by the numbers. 46% of all searches on Google are local. Google 3-pack appears in the top spot 93% of searches with local intent. 18% of mobile local searches lead to a sale within one day. 78% of local mobile searches result in offline purchases, and 71% of the people surveyed say they look up and confirm the location of a business before going to it for the very first time.

Local SEO is very important. About 89% of people search for a local business on their smartphone at least once a week, with 58% of people searching daily. It’s very powerful, and it can drastically change your local business if you rank at the top, but the key is you have to rank at the top because positioning is everything. Over 35% of the clicks go to position one, and if you’re not in the top 10, it really doesn’t make that big of a difference.

The benefits of local SEO is it helps build positive reviews, great business reputation, gets you more foot traffic. It gives your location more visibility, again, more traffic.

So how do you win when it comes to local search? Well, if you’re looking to win, there’s a few things you need to keep in mind. You need to keep your name, address, and phone number consistent, right? Wherever you talk about your business, by keeping that consistent, it won’t confuse people and it’ll help you rank better.

You want to optimize for quality reviews, and then, of course, go for quantity. So you need both high quality and tons of reviews. The more detailed the reviews, the better off you’re going to do. You want to create local content for press mentions, and use Google Maps on your site.

So the signals that matter with local search are things like categories, locations, keywords in the business title, even location as well. Then there’s review signals, like how many reviews do you have? How quickly are you getting the reviews on a regular basis? The quality of the reviews, are they really short? Are they in-depth? Are they five-star, four-star? All that really matters.

Off-page signals like aggregators, or your name, address, phone number consistency, citations, people linking to you.

On-page signals would be, again, like your name, address, phone number, keywords in the title, the authority of different pages, or even your old domain.

Link signals, as I mentioned briefly, similar to off-page signals. The more sites linking to you and the higher their authority, the better off you’re going to do. The more social shares you have, the better off as well, and behavior signals are very important, like click-through rate.

If people search and they click on your result, it tells them that your copy’s appealing. If they go click the back button too fast, it tells Google, “Hey, we don’t like the site. Don’t rank it as high.” And there’s also a lot of tools that you can use that Google gives you for free, such as the Google local search, Google Maps, Search Console, and even Google My Business.

So what do the top-performing local landing pages have in common? Well, there’s a few things. They have great copy, strong headlines, product benefits, things like social proof, teams, contact information, call-to-actions, location, and map. There’s a lot of little things that go into it.

I really will go in-depth in everything you need to do, and what you’ll learn in this course is pretty much how to set up your site so you can not just rank at the top, but stay at the top, which is more important, and continually get the traffic over time.

So in future lessons, I’m going to be going over local keywords, how to find them, how to rank for them, how to use Google Search Console as well as Bing Webmaster Tools, how to create content, and, of course, how to track and improve your rankings. So that’s it. We’re off and to the races.

Most myths are harmless. But the same can’t be said for most SEO myths. So, we need to bust these common myths and get you focused on tactics and strategies that’ll move the needle.

The first myth we need to debunk is that SEO is dead.

Journalists like to say that many things are dead. These kinds of headlines often lead to opinion editorials that end up being nothing more than clickbait.

SEO is alive and well. How do we know that?

You’ll find out in the video.

The second myth is that Google only ranks “fresh” content.

Does Google rank fresh content? Of course. But Google also ranks content that hasn’t been updated in years.

The thing is: freshness is a query-dependant ranking factor. That means fresh content matters for some search queries, but not so much for others.

Learn how to tell when a query relies on freshness in the video.

The third myth is that duplicate content will get you penalized.

Duplicate content is exact or near-duplicate content that appears on the web in more than one place. But there is no such thing as a duplicate content penalty.

The thing is: Google and its representatives have said on numerous occasions that Google doesn’t have a duplicate content penalty.

But that doesn’t mean duplicate content is good for your site.

Why? Find out in the video (plus, how to find and fix this issue.)

The fourth myth is that SEO is a “set it and forget it” job.

While SEO can lead to free, passive, and consistent traffic that doesn’t fade over time, it doesn’t mean that you can simply rank your pages and call it a day.

SEO is like going to the gym. It’s ok to miss a workout here and there, but you have to go consistently in order to get and maintain those results.

If you choose to ignore all efforts after you’re ranking high, you’ll likely lose backlinks while your competitors are building them. Your content will get stale for queries that rely on a freshness factor.

The fifth myth is that social shares help you rank higher in Google.

It’s reasonable to believe that the more your content gets shared on sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, the higher those pages will rank. But Google’s John Mueller has said that social signals don’t directly impact rankings.

Learn why this myth persists in the video.

The sixth myth is that Pay Per Click Advertising won’t help you rank higher in search.

Paying for ads doesn’t directly influence rankings. Google won’t rank you higher in organic search just because you’re paying them.

But PPC can indirectly help your pages get more backlinks because of increased exposure, just like social shares.

And the final myth we’re busting is that SEO is always about ranking #1.

We all want top Google rankings. But there’s a point where boosting your position for a single keyword may not be worth the required time and effort.

Now let’s say you have a website and when you search for it on google,
You may have not found your website.

This is because google ranks all the websites related to your search term on it’s search results.

So to rank your website.
we are going to do 3 parts.

Part 1: Create content which can rank on google.

To create the content, we’re going to do 4 steps

Step 1: FInd what people are searching for
In order to create the content, first you need to know what the people are searching on google related to your website or business.

Now just search something on google related to your business & you will get related suggestions next to it.

Now these suggestions are the terms, what people mostly search on google.

Step 2: Choose the users, you want to reach

Now each suggested result is a set of the users you want to reach.

So you need to choose a term searched by the people.

Step 3: Find out what the users might be looking for.

After choosing the set of users based on the search term they are looking for,

Now you need to find and understand what really that particular user is looking for.

Step 4: Create your content.

Now that you know what the user is searching, Next you need to answer that with your content.

So to create the content,

Go to WordPress Dashboard ► Posts ► Add New

Now enter the title, content, images etc which solves the users’ needs & publish it.

Once you’ve created the content, you can go to the next part.

Part 2 : To make your content, appear good on google search result.

Now once your site gets ranked and appears on search results,

You can see your title, link to your post & description on google.

Now if the link of your page is unclear or not readable with some random characters and text,

Change the permalink which will make your site URL’s look good and also perform better in google search results.

Now if you look at your description on google, it shows the content which you’ve added in post.

Now instead of this if you want to add your own text,

You need to install the ‘Yoast SEO’ plugin in your WordPress site.

Now if you go to your post and click ‘Edit’.

You will get some new options from Yoast SEO in your edit page.

Now click ‘Edit Snippet’ and write your own description which you want to display on google.

So now we have successfully made our site look good on the Google search results.

Now to help Google, find your site & it’s content, we need to share our website details with Google.

Part 3 : Tell Google about your website content

We are going to do this in 3 steps.

Step 1 : Install ‘Site Kit by Google’ plugin.

Step 2 : Setup the plugin.

Once you’ve installed the plugin, click ‘Start Setup’ to setup the plugin.

Sign In with google & click ‘My Dashboard’ to see your website is successfully connected with Google.

Step 3: Tell Google about all the pages you’ve on your website.

So to inform Google about your posts/content, we need to submit a ‘sitemap’.

To get the sitemap, let’s go to WordPress Dashboard ► SEO ► Features
Now click on the question mark next to XML sitemaps.

And then click ‘see XML sitemap’ to get the sitemap with all the links of your pages on your site.

Now copy the sitemap link on your browser & paste it in Google Search Console.

So now when you publish new content, it will be automatically added to your sitemap,

So this is how you can tell Google, about the pages you have on your website.

Now you’ve optimised your website for ranking on google.

So when the user searches for your website or your posts,

Your website will appear in search results.

So that’s it guys!

SEO can take a long time to get any kind of meaningful results.

While you can’t “force” Google to rank you faster, there are actually a number of quick things you can do to improve SEO for your website.

One of the easiest things you can do is improve page speed with lazy load. When you implement lazy loading, things like images or videos will only load when they’re visible on the page.

This will reduce initial page load time, initial page weight, and system resource usage, all of which should positively impact performance.

Find out what tools you’ll need to enable lazy loading in the video.

Next, improve clickthrough rate for pages ranking on page one.

It’s widely accepted in the SEO community that pages with a higher clickthrough rate can help increase rankings.

And since 75% of users never scroll past the first page of search results, it’s better to focus on improving CTR for your first page rankings.

Third, send emails to everyone you link to. This 10-minute outreach strategy is a great way to passively earn links and grow your network. You will learn how to do this in the video.

Fourth, add internal links to your new pages.

Internal linking helps to improve crawlability, gets your pages indexed faster, improves topical relevance, and distributes PageRank to other pages so you can rank higher in Google.

HARO stands for help a reporter out. It’s a free service where journalists can ask questions, and anyone can respond and be a source for mega publications like The New York Times and Forbes.

The thing with this service is that they usually send 3 emails per day which can be quite overwhelming, considering 90% of the queries probably won’t be relevant to you.

So, a quick hack to make sure opportunities don’t get missed is to lighten the load with Gmail filters.

Sixth, perform an annual content audit. A content audit is where you analyze the performance of all content on your site to determine whether it should be kept as-is, updated, deleted, consolidated, or redirected.

Lastly, repurpose your best-performing blog posts to videos, and your best videos to blog posts. You’ll learn how to do this in the video.

They were all expensive, and, hey, unless you wanted rankings, you would have to pay for one of these tools. But times have changed. There’s not just dozens of tools now, there’s hundreds of tools. And because of that, there’s a lot of free ones as well. Today, I’m going to breakdown why you should stop paying for SEO tools, and only use these four free tools if you want to rank number one on Google.

So, tool number one. You ready for this? Google Search Console.

Here’s what I love Google Search Console for. I do a comparison of my traffic right now, for the last 30 days, to my traffic six months ago. And I look for the pages that have the biggest drop off in impressions and clicks. I now know that these are the pages that I need to go back on my site, go and adjust and update.

You may add some videos if you think that helps improve the experience. You delete the stuff that doesn’t make sense. You shorn out the fluff, because sometimes, you may have just long articles because you were trying keyword stuff.

The second tool I have for you is Structured Data Markup Helper. Look, if you want those star ratings on your site, you want to be included in the rich snippets, you want your listing to stand out, you got to use structured data.

But how do you use structured data? Well, it’s complicated because depending on the type of website you have, the structured data is going to look different.

So that way, when someone’s doing a search on Google, they can see all those little breadcrumbs, and that helps increase your click-through rate.

The third tool I have for you, Google Trends. This is super important. The reason being is if your brand continually gets searched more and more, you’ll notice that your rankings increase. So, it’s all about brand building. And you’ll find, “Hey, Neil, “why do I need to increase my brand?” Well, Google, Facebook, and all the social sites out there have issues of fake news.

And Google Trends shows you that.

Now, last but not least, another free tool, Ubersuggest. If you want to do SEO, Ubersuggest has the features of Moz, SEMrush, Ahrefs, pretty much the majority 80 plus percent of their features for free.

So, if you want to site audit, well there’s an SEO audit report in Ubersuggest that breaks down your load time, your title tags, your meta description, your code errors, your URL issues, your redirect issues.

And it tells you how to fix each of them. And it breaks down in priority on which ones you should change first to get the maximum amount of traffic. You’re looking for more keywords to go after? Ubersuggest also has a keyword ideas report.

And the keyword ideas report shows you all the keywords that you can go after. According to Jumpshot, roughly 49% of the searches that happen on Google get no clicks. Well, with Ubersuggest, they’ll show you keywords that are based on questions, comparisons, prepositions.

These are all high intent keywords. So if you after them in your copy, you’ll find that you’ll get more clicks, more traffic, and those visitors that are aligning on your site will convert because you’re not just going after generic keywords now. There’s also backlinks report.

You can put in any URL of your competitor or your site. Shows you who links to them. And then you can hit up all those people, assume you put in a competitor URL, and ask them to link back to your site if your content’s better.

This will give you an idea of the type of content you should produce versus the type of content you shouldn’t produce.

And, of course, last but not least, there’s a traffic analyzer report that shows you how much traffic your competitors are getting versus you. So you have a rough comparison of what you need to do to improve your traffic.

First, what is SEO and how does it work?

SEO stands for search engine optimization. By definition, it is the process of optimizing your website and webpages to get “free”, “organic” traffic from search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing.

As a business owner, blogger, or website owner, your job is two-fold:

First, you need to make it easy for search engines to understand what your page is about and create content that matches what we call, the “searcher’s intent.”

Second, you need to show Google and other search engines that your pages are ‘worthy’ of ranking.

In this video, Sam Oh teaches the a 101 into the world of search engine optimization.

There are plenty of clear examples and some basic (yet powerful) SEO tips to optimize a brand new website to rank #1 on Google (step-by-step).

The techniques that are taught in this SEO training include:

1. Keyword research
By doing keyword research, you can see the average number of times someone searches for a specific keyword phrase in Google each month.

Often times, the query that you think will be the most popular is often far from the truth.

Using tools like Ahrefs Keywords Explorer ( you’ll learn how to use the “parent topic” of a term to determine the best keywords to target for your pages.

You’ll also learn what not to do (ie. keyword stuffing).

Keyword research gives you clues on the language you should use to let both Google and potential customers know what our page is about.

There are a few vivid examples in here to illustrate the best practices on how to do keyword research. If you want to sharpen your keyword research skills, I highly recommend watching this series on doing keyword research in 2018 and beyond.

2. On-page SEO
On-page SEO is the process of optimizing web pages with the intention to rank high in Google. If you want to rank #1 on Google, then your on-page SEO will need to be right on.

In this tutorial, you’ll learn 4 simple, yet highly effective tips to ensure you are following Google SEO best practices. Having optimized web pages will set the foundation for your success in search engine optimization.

It will help Google understand what your content is about and help your customers find you.

A few of the basic tips include:

– Title tags
– Meta descriptions
– Heading tags (or H1 tags)
– keyword usage
– content creation
– competitor analysis

3. Off-page SEO
Off-page SEO is often referred to as link building.

In general, the more quality backlinks you can get from relevant pages, the higher you’ll rank in Google.

Are you new to SEO and want to rank #1 on google this upcoming year? Here are 3 SEO strategies that will boost your rankings!

#1: Focus on content
Google has this update called Hummingbird, and with Hummingbird, websites who just have content on everything won’t do as well as sites which focus on one single niche and are super thorough.

You want to be VERY thorough with your SEO content. Poke holes in your content and fill them all up, so then that way people are like, “This is the end all site “that you should end up reading “if you’re interested in dating online.”

#2: Optimize your title tag and your meta description
Have you ever done a Google search, and noticed that every time you do it, there is this link at the top, and then there’s this one sentence with a link at the top is called the title tag.

And the description below is called the meta description.

Now think of it this way, if you search for the phrase online dating, and you don’t see the word online dating in neither the title or the description, are you going to click on the result?

Well if you are, there’s something wrong, because why would you click on a result that isn’t related to what you’re looking for?

In addition to that, have you ever searched for a term like online dating? And have you ever noticed that the word isn’t in the title or description?

That’s because Google tracks who’s clicking on what listing, and they’ve learned that when a keyword is in the listing, that same keyword that you’re searching for, they know you’re way more likely to click through.

So in your title tag and your meta description, make sure you include the keyword. But you can’t just add the keyword, “online dating,” right?

The easiest way and what I would do and I wish it was this simple; I will just put “online dating, online dating, online dating, online dating.”

If I could put it 20 times so people would know that the article is on online dating, I wish I would get more clicks.

But it’s not that simple.

Yes you have to include the keyword in your title and your description, but it has to be appealing. If it doesn’t flow in a sentence, it’s not easy to read, and it’s not appealing or evoking curiosity, no one is gonna click through.

#3: Use Google Search Console

Did you know that Google gives you a tool that teaches you how to rank number one on Google?

Yes I know that sounds ridiculous but it is true, and it’s called Google Search Console.

If you’re not already a user of it, sign up.

It doesn’t cost a dollar. You’re missing out if you’re not using it.

I can’t emphasize that enough. So now that you’re using Google Search Console…give it a few days because it takes some time to populate data. You’ll see a screen that shows Search Analytics and this shows you all the pages on your website that are getting you traffic. But the cool thing about Google Search Console is they also show you which articles are getting impressions.

Take all the keywords you’re getting impressions for and start adding them to your copy.

Now we have an article on Instagram, and it teaches you how to get over 300 targeted Instagram followers per day.

The article is around 10,000 words. When I first wrote that article, it wasn’t 10,000 words, it was roughly 2,500.

I went to Google Search Console, I saw all the people that are searching for terms related to the article, I added them within that article. I made it more thorough and you know what?

My SEO traffic more than tripled to that article. Yes it is that simple. And when I made that change, it didn’t happen right away, but I noticed the results within 50 days. That’s not a long time.

Now that you’ve learned these three tips, I challenge you in which I want you to take these tactics and implement them, and then after you implement them, in the next 45 days I want you to leave a comment with your results. Because if you’re not doing well, that means I’m not happy.
